TYPES OF ZONES:

There are two types of zones: general-purpose zones and subzones.

General-purpose zones are usually located in an industrial park or in port complexes whose facilities are available for use by the public.

Subzones are sites sponsored by a grantee on behalf of an individual firm. A subzone is a single purpose site that cannot be operated in a general-purpose zone; e.g., oil refineries, pigment manufacturers
